A lot of state colleges list the accounting degree as a bachelor of science in accounting and not a bachelor of arts. Why is that? Is it because of all the intense classes? I looked at the requirements and there are a lot of accounting, business, econ classes, a couple of math classes but not a lot of math.

I just thought that BS degrees were for intense degrees such as Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, etc. So why is accounting included as a BS degree?

Can you earn a 4 or 5 year bachelors degree, without ever stepping foot on a campus for class? I understand you may have to physically go to a physical campus for a registration, or book purchases, that I know is a possibility. But can you take all classes and all tests online? No offense, but please don’t answer if you don’t KNOW for SURE.

I’m a junior in college working on accounting with Information Systems minor. Current plan right now is get my ungraduate, and also get my graduate degree in Masters of Science in Accounting with Tax concentration. I expect to ace CPA in one sitting. 90% of graduates from my school do.

But there doesn’t seem to be much money for a typical accounting career. Would i be able to enter the stated (or any other "big money") job markets with my degree?

I have a BA in Accounting and my MBA, but I don’t want to be a CPA. I want flexibility and the option to live where I want to. I would also like to be able to be somewhat creative. I am very interested in management and working with people, but I don’t want to be a sales person. Any suggestions?
